Following the attendance of the Common Maritime Agenda for the Black Sea Annual Stakeholder Conference held in Bucharest, Romania, WDF became an active participant in the policy shaping of the Black Sea sustainable blue economy, with primary focus on fostering investment for entrepreneurship in the fisheries and marine aquaculture. WDF representatives attended several follow up meetings and working groups dedicated to BlueInvest, as part of the Black Sea Accelerator, an initiative developed under a joint effort between two EU funded projects BRIDGE (https://bridgeblacksea.org/) and DOORS (https://www.doorsblacksea.eu/) As part of the Black Sea Accelerator, innovative start ups in the blue economy sector, including WDF, have the opportunity and benefit from an an extensive network of companies, academic and research institutions, while receiving general and tailor made technical assistance and training in further developing blue economy related solutions.
